Beautiful Toba Lake

Toba Lake is the largest volcanic lake in Southeast Asia and the highest lake in the world, with gigantic size of 1.265 sq km and a depth of over 450m. Lying at 906 above sea level, the climate in the Toba area is refreshingly cool.

Toba Lake is the largest lake in South East Asia and also one of the most spectacular, surrounded by tall mountains and with the large island of Samosir in the middle. If we descend from the mountain we see the lake glittering in all its beauty.
